About Oakdell Properties
I've spent more than 20 years helping people buy and sell real estate.
Over those years, I've worked with first-time homebuyers, families searching for their second or third home, people preparing to downsize for retirement, and just about everything in between.
I've also helped clients sell many different kinds of property, from homes to undeveloped land, farms, and country estates.
No matter the size of the transaction, I believe every client deserves the same level of attention and care.
Experience Built Over Decades
Before starting Oakdell Properties Real Estate, I spent 20 years working with two great real estate companies. That experience gave me the opportunity to learn the business and build relationships with trusted professionals, including mortgage professionals, inspectors and others who help make a real estate transaction possible.
Before real estate, I spent 30 years in local journalism. Covering the people, places, and changes around me for those years gave me a perspective that has proven especially valuable in real estate.
Service Beyond Real Estate
I've been fortunate to serve in several professional and community leadership roles over the years.
I served as President of the Central Carolinas Association of Realtors in 2015 and Secretary in 2013. I've also served with the Cabarrus County Land Use Advisory Committee, Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus, the Concord Noon Optimist Club, the Cabarrus County Boys & Girls Club, and various boards at Center United Methodist Church.
A Veteran Serving Veterans
I served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974 as a Communications Specialist in Germany.
As a veteran, it's especially meaningful to help a fellow veteran buy a home. I can also help clients navigate the VA loan process when that's the right financing option for them.
